One person has been killed and at least ten others wounded in a major Ukrainian drone attack that caused significant damage in the Russian city of Belgorod, according to Mayor Valentin Demidov.
Eight of the wounded were hospitalized, while two others were discharged after receiving medical treatment, Demidov wrote in a post on social media early on Sunday.
The enemy launched a large-scale drone strike on residential areas in the center of the city, he said.
The raid damaged multiple residential buildings, personal vehicles, and public and commercial facilities, according to the mayor. More than 50 people were forced to seek shelter in temporary housing centers.
